Day 1: The Vibe Coding Experiment: A New Product Every Day

The Journey of an Old-School Coder to Becoming a Vibe Coder

I spent years mastering the craft of software development.

Then, unexpectedly, AI arrived and reached a level where it could code better and faster than me.

My clients dwindled, my projects became worthless, my skills became devalued, and my interest in the craft waned.

What was the point of being a programmer when anyone who could read and write could code?

I spent about 6 months playing video games and struggling with depression.

One day, a Vibe Coder on a podcast helped me realize the flaw in my mindset. The Vibe Coder was dreaming of huge projects, thinking freely and boldly. I, on the other hand, was stuck in boring and mundane dreams, crushed by the exhaustion of writing code letter by letter.

Bingo!

My depression decided to fade away. The question marks in my head gave way to clarity. I no longer had to spend months on boring projects like I used to. Now I could single-handedly complete projects that large companies spend months developing. I could even do one of them every day!

I have witnessed several times in my own life and the lives of those around me how a change in mindset changes lives. In the articles I will write today and in the coming days, I want to record this process to trigger a change in mindset and inspire those who think similarly. So why do I have to release one product every day? Why not? Before, each function did only one job. Now, one function does all the jobs!

Today is February 26, 2026, and it's day one of the challenge. I published labdays.io as my first project. And I will publish my other projects on this site as well. If you want to witness the journey, you can join the email list. I hope it will be an inspiring journey.
